Qatar Charity delivers school aid in Chad and Jordan to support education
Qatar Charity (QC) has rolled out educational support initiatives in Chad and Jordan, furthering its commitment to empowering underprivileged children with the tools they need to succeed in education.
These initiatives, which coincide with the start of the new academic year, are part of QC’s ongoing Education 2025 campaign and are made possible by the generous contributions of donors.
In N’Djamena, Chad, QC delivered 1,000 desks and chairs to 10 educational institutions. The handover ceremony was attended by Loul Ali Choua, Secretary General of the Ministry of Education and Civic Promotion, alongside representatives from the benefiting schools.

Choua praised the initiative, describing it as a “generous contribution that reflects strong cooperation in supporting education, the cornerstone of development and societal progress.” He also called for a strategic partnership with Qatar Charity to expand educational efforts across the country.
The project aims to address a critical shortage of school furniture in Chad, where more than 40% of primary schools are without desks and chairs, leaving students with no choice but to sit on the ground or share seats.
Meanwhile, in Jordan, QC launched the first phase of a school bag distribution program, benefiting 120 female students in Jerash Governorate who have excelled in memorizing parts of the Holy Qur'an. The bags, filled with essential supplies and stationery, are part of a wider effort to support education in the region. A second phase of the initiative will provide 500 more bags to students in other areas.
Saleh bin Mohammed al-Marri, the General Supervisor of Qatar Charity’s Jordan office, highlighted that the initiative is just one of many efforts QC has undertaken since 2016. Over that period, QC’s Jordan office has implemented 187 educational projects, including scholarships, school renovations, and distributions of educational materials.
