Qatar Charity reaches in more than 70 countries, helping 5.3 million people  

Qatar Charity (QC) has extended its humanitarian and development efforts to impact the lives of more than 5.3 million people across over 70 countries in 2025, thanks to the ongoing generosity of its donors.

With over QR 410 million in total spending this year, QC delivered 10,164 projects and interventions focusing on humanitarian relief, sustainable development, and social care, particularly in regions affected by conflict, natural disasters, and chronic poverty.

 

Humanitarian response in crisis zones

In response to escalating humanitarian needs, Qatar Charity prioritized aid efforts in Gaza, Sudan, and Syria. Nearly 100 emergency relief projects benefited 1.62 million people, with funding exceeding QR 145 million.

These interventions included:

  • Emergency food assistance and non-food items
  • Shelter solutions
  • Education and healthcare services
  • Water and sanitation
  • Social cohesion and livelihood support

Gaza received the largest share, aiding over one million people, while interventions in Sudan and Syria significantly improved living conditions, access to healthcare, and educational opportunities.

Sustainable development projects

On the development side, QC implemented 10,064 projects, either completed or in progress, aiming to reach 3.7 million people with a total investment of QR 265 million.

Key focus areas included:

  • Food security
  • Health and education
  • Economic empowerment
  • Social care
  • Water and sanitation
  • Social housing
  • Multi-service community centres

Notable milestones this year included the restoration of homes and villages in Syria, and the inauguration of the Maryam Bint Jassim Bin Ali Al Thani Mosque in Morocco.

 

Social care and sponsorship initiatives

Under its flagship “Rofaqa” programme, QC continues to support vulnerable individuals, providing sponsorships to over 225,300 beneficiaries, including:

  • Orphans
  • People with special needs
  • Low-income families
  • Students and teachers

 

Global presence and partnerships

Qatar Charity operates through 34 field offices worldwide, including a newly established office in Lebanon, and maintains active partnerships with local, regional, and international organizations. It has signed over 100 cooperation agreements with global institutions, including various UN agencies, allowing it to implement donor-funded projects while meeting international operational standards.
