As part of its Ramadan campaign “Good Starts With
You,” Qatar Charity (QC) has launched
a new initiative titled “Forgotten Crises,” urging donors worldwide to assist
communities affected by long-standing humanitarian emergencies during the final
ten days of the holy month.
The initiative seeks to draw attention to millions of people living in protracted crises that often receive little media coverage and limited international support, despite their urgent humanitarian needs.

Through this campaign, Qatar Charity reaffirmed its commitment to continuing humanitarian efforts to support the most vulnerable populations and reduce their suffering, even amid challenging global conditions. The initiative focuses on several overlooked crises impacting communities in Rohingya refugee camps, Somalia, Yemen, Afghanistan, Chad and Mauritania.
Planned humanitarian projects include providing
food aid to families struggling with hunger, rebuilding and repairing damaged
homes to improve living conditions, and distributing essential shelter supplies
to help restore safety, dignity and stability for affected families.
According to the United Nations, “forgotten crises” refer to long-term emergencies caused by
conflict, poverty or recurring disasters. Due to limited media attention, such
crises often receive insufficient humanitarian funding, leaving already
vulnerable communities without sustained assistance.
Qatar Charity has encouraged donors to contribute during the last ten days of Ramadan, noting that donations will help provide food and shelter for displaced people, refugees and families affected by these crises.

To make donations easier, Qatar Charity has provided several options, including its official website and mobile application, as well as a home collection service that can be requested through the app. Donors can also contribute by calling the charity’s call center at +974 4429 0000 or by visiting Qatar Charity branches and donation points located in shopping malls.
