Qatar, Singapore  strengthen cooperation in global arbitration, mediation efforts

A high-level delegation from the Qatar International Centre for Conciliation and Arbitration (QICCA), under the Qatar Chamber, took part in the Singapore Convention Week on Mediation 2025, one of the leading global forums for dispute resolution, arbitration, and mediation.

Led by QICCA Vice Chairman Dr Sheikh Thani bin Ali Al Thani and Secretary-General Ibrahim Shahbeek, the delegation highlighted Qatar’s commitment to advancing dialogue on international dispute resolution and positioning QICCA as a regional hub for arbitration and mediation services.

On the sidelines, the delegation met Martina Polasek, Secretary-General of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), to discuss strengthening institutional ties, cooperation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives, including training and expertise exchange.

The QICCA delegation also visited the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) to explore further collaboration with one of the world’s leading arbitration institutions.
