Qatar dispatches aid to Afghanistan on humanitarian basis
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that four planes carrying
humanitarian aid have arrived in Kabul to assist victims of the recent
earthquake in eastern Afghanistan.
The shipments, organized by the Qatar Fund for
Development and coordinated with the international rescue team led by Minister
of State for International Cooperation Maryam bint Ali Al-Musnad, include two
mobile hospitals, food, medicine, and shelter supplies.
The aid is expected to support approximately 11,000 people affected by the
6.0-magnitude quake that struck on Monday evening.
