Libyan high official and Qatar’s ambassador discuss progress in political efforts
Musa Al-Koni, Vice-Chairman of Libya’s Presidential Council, met with Qatar’s Ambassador to Libya, Dr Khalid bin Mohammed Zabin Al Dosari, on Thursday to discuss progress in Libya’s political process and the roadmap toward credible national elections.
According to the Presidential Council’s media
office, Ambassador Al-Dosari reaffirmed Qatar’s steadfast support for Libya’s
political efforts, emphasizing that dialogue remains the most effective path to
bridging divisions and restoring stability.

Al-Koni expressed appreciation for Qatar’s
continued commitment, noting that the Council is actively engaging with all
political factions to reach a comprehensive settlement. He stressed that the
ultimate goal is to facilitate inclusive elections and advance the national
reconciliation process, which he described as having reached a mature stage.
The meeting reflects deepening diplomatic ties
between Libya and Qatar, highlighting their shared commitment to unity,
reconciliation, and a peaceful resolution to the ongoing political challenges.
