Qatari swimmers show outstanding performance at Arab Aquatics Age Group Championships
Qatar’s swimmers delivered standout
performances at the 4th Arab Aquatics Age Group Championships in Morocco,
securing multiple podium finishes as the competition runs through September 1.
Rising star Adam Morsi struck gold
in the 13–14 age group 50m breaststroke, clocking 31.23 seconds to set a new
Arab record.
In the men’s category, Mohamed
Mahmoud powered to gold in the 50m breaststroke, finishing in 28.53 seconds and
boosting Qatar’s overall tally to three gold medals.

Meanwhile, Hamza Shaalan added a
silver in the 17–18 age group 50m breaststroke with a time of 29.13 seconds.
The Qatari relay team also captured silver in the 4x200m freestyle relay,
completing the race in 7:55.80 minutes.
The championships feature swimmers
from 19 Arab nations, with competitions spanning swimming, water polo, and
open-water events.
