US President Donald Trump has
commended Qatar’s mediation efforts in bringing an end to the war in the Gaza
Strip, expressing confidence that the newly brokered ceasefire will endure.
In a statement to the press,
President Trump confirmed that the conflict in Gaza has officially ended,
noting that “multiple guarantees” are now in place to uphold the truce. He
added that Hamas may release some prisoners earlier than outlined in its
agreement with Israel.

The President also said that a new administrative authority in Gaza would begin its duties “very soon,” and expressed his intention to visit the enclave in the near future.
President Trump is set to co-chair
the upcoming Sharm El Sheikh Peace Summit in Egypt, a high-level meeting
aimed at consolidating the Gaza ceasefire and promoting broader peace and
stability across the Middle East.
