Qatar to host conference on Combating Illicit Trafficking of Cultural Property

Qatar National Library (QNL) will host the 4th Doha Conference on Combating the Illicit Trafficking of Cultural Property under the theme “Crisis Preparedness and Cultural Heritage Protection: Prevention to Recovery”, beginning Sunday.

The four-day conference, running until September 24, is organized in partnership with UNESCO’s Regional Office for the Gulf States and Yemen, as well as the Embassies of the United States, France, and Italy in Doha.

As part of QNL’s Himaya program, this year’s edition will spotlight the mounting risks facing cultural heritage across the region. It aims to strengthen institutional readiness while fostering regional and international cooperation across all stages of crisis management.
