To improve access to safe drinking water, QRCS built boreholes equipped with water tanks and solar-powered pumping systems, serving 23 disadvantaged villages in Zinder, Tahoua, and Tillaberi. Communities also received training in sanitation and hygiene practices to prevent disease and promote healthier living.
Health initiatives included school
eye screening campaigns in Niamey and Tillaberi, where 117,462 students
underwent initial checkups and 9,071 received specialized medical tests. A
total of 700 medicine kits were distributed, 111 surgeries were performed, and
400 teachers were trained to identify vision problems among students—improving
both health and educational outcomes.
