The International Chess Federation (FIDE) and the Organizing Committee of the World Rapid and Blitz Chess Championship (Qatar 2025) unveiled the official logo for the tournament, scheduled to take place in Doha from December 26–30.

According to FIDE, the logo reflects a unique visual identity that blends Arabic calligraphy of the word “Qatar” into a horse-inspired form, symbolizing both Qatari heritage and the universal spirit of chess. The design was created by Qatari graphic designer Fatima Al Malki, who combined cultural authenticity with a modern artistic vision.

HE Mohammed Al Mudahka, President of the Qatar Chess Association and FIDE’s Executive Director for International Relations, expressed his delight at hosting the event once again in Doha, with competitions set to be held at Qatar University’s Sports Complex.

FIDE President Arkady Dvorkovich described the championship as one of FIDE’s most closely followed global events, noting its importance in promoting chess to broader audiences.

Designer Fatima Al Malki explained that the logo embodies both the competitive energy of world-class chess and its cultural resonance in the Middle East.
